Vienna Airport (VIE)
A private car from Vienna airport into the city or across the border to Bratislava, Prague and Budapest.
Vienna International Airport stands in Schwechat, south-east of the city, about 18 kilometres from the centre of Vienna. It is the airport for Vienna, but it is also close to Slovakia: Bratislava is only around an hour away by road, and many travellers to the Slovak capital land here.
The drive into central Vienna normally takes twenty-five to thirty-five minutes, depending on the traffic on the motorway and where your hotel is. The City Airport Train and the S-Bahn run to the city as well, but they end at a station, not at your door.
Vienna airport is also a common starting point for longer trips. By private car Prague is roughly four hours away, Budapest a little less than three, and the lakes and mountains of Austria are within reach for a day. A booked transfer means the car and the driver are planned before you land.
Where your driver meets you
If you book meet and greet, your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a sign carrying your name. Without it, you call the driver once you have your luggage and walk to the car together. We follow your flight number, so a delay does not leave you without a car. The exact meeting point is in the confirmation we send before your trip.
