Karlovy Vary

A private car to the spa town of West Bohemia from Prague, its airport or across the German border.

Karlovy Vary is the best-known spa town of the Czech Republic, in the valley of the Teplá river in West Bohemia. Its colonnades and hot springs have drawn visitors for centuries, and every summer the town hosts an international film festival that fills its hotels.

Most visitors arrive through Prague. The drive from Prague airport takes about two hours on the D6 motorway, which also avoids a change of trains on the way. Karlovy Vary has a small airport of its own, but it handles few scheduled flights, so Prague is the usual gateway.

The town lies close to the German border, so travellers also come from Bavaria and Saxony, and from here the other spa towns of the region, Mariánské Lázně and Františkovy Lázně, are short drives away. The centre around the colonnades is largely closed to cars, so your driver stops at the nearest street a car may use and helps with the luggage from there.

Where your driver meets you

For a trip from Karlovy Vary your driver collects you at the door of your hotel or spa house at the agreed time. Where cars cannot reach the door, the driver waits at the nearest place a car may stop. The exact meeting point is in the confirmation we send before your trip.
