Prague Airport (PRG)
A private car from Prague airport into the city, to the spa towns or across the border to Vienna, Munich and Dresden.
Václav Havel Airport Prague lies on the north-western edge of the city, roughly 17 kilometres from the Old Town. It has two passenger terminals: Terminal 1 handles flights from outside the Schengen area, such as the United Kingdom, the Middle East and North America, and Terminal 2 handles flights within Schengen. The two arrivals halls are connected, so a driver can reach either one.
Outside the morning and evening rush the drive to the centre usually takes between twenty-five and forty minutes. Public transport works too — the bus to the metro at Nádraží Veleslavín and the airport express bus to the main railway station — but with luggage, children or a late landing a car that is already waiting is simpler.
Many travellers do not stay in Prague at all. From the airport a private transfer reaches Karlovy Vary in about two hours, and Vienna, Munich and Dresden are all within a day's comfortable drive.
Where your driver meets you
If you book meet and greet, your driver waits in the arrivals hall of your terminal with a sign carrying your name. Without it, you call the driver when you have your luggage and walk out together. We follow your flight number, so a delay does not leave you without a car. The exact meeting point is in the confirmation we send before your trip.
